FAQs
Questions about coaching.
Find answers to the most common questions about working with Career Confidence Lab — how coaching works, what to expect, and how to get started.
About the coaching
What is career confidence coaching?
Career confidence coaching helps you rebuild your professional identity, narrative and presence. I use performance techniques — voice, presence, storytelling and preparation under pressure — to help you show up fully in interviews, meetings and professional conversations.
What is performance-based career coaching?
It applies techniques from professional acting — presence, voice, storytelling and preparation under pressure — to professional situations. I bring 20 years of performance experience directly into coaching. Not as theory. As lived practice. The result is that you do not just know what to say — you know how to say it in a room.
How is career coaching different from therapy?
Career coaching focuses on professional goals, direction and performance — not on mental health or emotional processing. I work on practical skills: how you tell your story, how you present in interviews, and how you build the confidence to move forward. It is not therapy and does not replace it.
Is career coaching worth it?
Coaching works best when you are at a clear transition point — after redundancy, during a career change, or returning after a break. I focus on practical outcomes: a stronger CV, better interview performance, and a clear direction. Most clients see real results within the first few sessions.
Is this right for me if I have never done career coaching before?
Most of my clients have never worked with a coach before. The free consultation is exactly the right place to start — no commitment, no assumption that you will go further. Just an honest conversation about where you are and whether this is the right fit.
How it works
What happens in the free consultation?
It is a conversation — not a pitch. I will ask about where you are professionally right now, what you are looking for, and whether Career Confidence Lab is the right fit. You decide at the end whether to go further. No commitment, no obligation.
How does career coaching work at Career Confidence Lab?
We start with a free 30-minute consultation. From there, sessions are one to one online via Zoom, entirely tailored to you — your pace, your situation, your story.
How long does career coaching take?
The full programme runs over 13 weeks. We begin with a free consultation, move through a discovery phase, ongoing practical sessions, and finish with a final session where you leave with a CV, interview confidence and a 90-day action plan. Individual sessions are also available.
Do you offer online coaching?
All sessions are online via Zoom. This means I can work with professionals anywhere in the world. Sessions are one to one, private, and in English or French depending on your preference.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are online via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom link in your confirmation email when you book. No downloads needed — it works in any browser.
What if I need to reschedule?
Use the reschedule link in your confirmation email. I ask for 24 hours notice where possible. For last-minute changes email me at hello@careerconfidencelab.com.
Practical questions
How much does career coaching cost?
The first conversation is always free with no commitment. Programme and session pricing is available on request — contact me at hello@careerconfidencelab.com or book your free call to discuss what works for your situation.
Do you offer coaching in French?
Yes — I am a native French speaker and coach in both English and French. I work with French-speaking and bilingual professionals navigating their career in the UK and internationally.
Who is career coaching for?
I work with professionals navigating redundancy, a career break, or a career that no longer feels right — and with professionals who want to communicate with more confidence and clarity. Coaching is available in English and French to clients worldwide.
Can career coaching help with redundancy?
Yes — redundancy is one of the most common reasons people come to me. We work on rebuilding your narrative, updating your CV, preparing for interviews and identifying your next direction. Without rushing you through a process that takes time to do well.
What if I do not know what I want to do next?
That is one of the most common reasons people come to me. Not knowing is not a problem — it is the starting point. We work out the direction together. That is part of what the coaching is for.
